Indoor and Outdoor Environment Development
The environment is the third teacher and has a massive impact on the safety, wellbeing and education of the children at your setting. The environment has a massive impact on all aspects of your provision and is the key to an Outstanding setting.
Challenge
Areas in the setting are not working to their full potential, looking tired or you need new ideas and perspectives. Areas are not being used, sections of the EYFS are not being met or children are not reaching their full potential.

Action
On my visit to the setting I will observe how the children interact, play and learn. I will evaluate how effective each area is and possible improvements that can be made. It may be small changes to the environment that would make a big impact. You do not need to have a huge budget to make improvements.

Outcome
Children are happier, staff are happier and the day to day running of the setting is smoother. Each area is running more effectively and children will enjoy being in the setting and flourish.
